ABOUT US

God is Love Christian School is...

a subdivision of “God is Love” Ministries, which is a nonprofit religious corporation in Pennsylvania. The governing board of the School is composed of parents/teachers who have or have had children in a center and are members of “God is Love” ministries. God is Love Christian School administration, with the advice and ratification of the governing board, originates and implements the policies that govern the center and the guidelines for its effective business operation.

The center’s governing board, with the advice of the center’s administration, has adopted a statement of faith that is consistent with the doctrinal statements of the National Association of Evangelicals and the Association of Christian Schools International. These doctrines are taught in the classroom, and they are the foundation of the entire curriculum.

The Bible curriculum centers on a systematic understanding of the events of the Old and New Testaments. The focus of the study is the Person and work of Jesus Christ. Jesus is presented as the Creator God (Genesis 1; John 1; Colossians 1), the Savior Redeemer (Isaiah 53; John; Acts; New Testament), the reigning King of Kings and Lord of Lords, the One whose return we momentarily expect.

We are not “against” public Schools, but we are “for” private evangelical Christian education. It is our conviction that parents should be given the option of sending their children to a private evangelical Christian School. We are privileged to make that option available to families within the radius of our campus.

Our motivation is not competition with public or private Schools. Instead, our motivation is to achieve excellence in curriculum, biblical understanding, physical and motivational development, and social and emotional maturity by giving young children “room and time to grow.”

We cannot take the place of the father and mother of the young child, and have no desire to do so.  Our objective is to firmly support and reinforce what the parents are already doing in the home. If the home is not Christ-centered and biblically based, then who and what we are in Christ, may introduce Christ to the parents and family.

The school supports and reinforces what the family and church are doing. Our teachers must have made a personal profession of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and must be active in a local church. The center’s program is not designed to take the place of Sunday school, worship, or other phases of church life. If the school is viewed as having that purpose, we will be unable to accomplish our goal of supporting and reinforcing the life of both family and church.

Mission Statement

A School must keep in clear focus its reasons for being. Ours are as follows:

1. To give children an opportunity, an atmosphere, and some assistance in growing

2. To give Christian families a School that stands for, supports, and reinforces the evangelical Christian worldview and way of life

3. To provide children an opportunity to develop special skills under the direction of teachers who love and honor Christ.
